The kind of song that feels like skating under pastel lights, half lost in memory, half ready to dance again. It’s retro at heart but alive with modern color and with some of RYD3R 96’s touch of moo. Whatever that means. HA!
Creator Commentary
“This song originally started as a commission for my friend RYD3R_96, who streams on Twitch. He wanted something with that old-school, 80s vibe, big synths, punchy drums, and that dreamy nostalgia you’d hear playing through a mall or shopping center in the 1980s.
What made it special for me was how it ended up capturing more than just a retro sound. There’s this balance between energy and calm, it strangely reminded me of Toto’s Africa, which is a favorite song of mine. I mean, they both share the same song key, so it’d make sense why it would.
Even though it began as a simple request, the track ended up feeling personal. It reminded me why I fell in love with 80’s music in the first place. It has the pure optimism, the color, the emotion packed into every chord. I think that’s why I decided to keep it as part of my own discography. It felt like it belonged here, like a small piece of Mariotravel209’s early journey.
