“Skies of the Horizon” paints a feeling of possibility. Gentle piano melodies rise into bright guitar harmonies, while shimmering electronic textures and ethereal female vocals weave through the track like wind across an open sky. Energetic yet beautiful, it’s my first drum and bass release. A song that lifts the listener forward, toward the horizon.
Creator Commentary
“Skies of the Horizon was a fun side project I wanted to do for a while. It was my take on Drum and Bass music for the first time and there’s something I like about being able to fuse a soft, atmosphere-inducing sound with the high-energetic drum beat.
I was inspired by the song “The Sound of Your Smile” which was performed by Nu:Logic. I discovered this song when I was playing Forza Horizon 4 at the time, and I just loved the visual and atmospheric vibe of seeing a sports car cruising down the coast road with a beautiful sunset to look at. It was ethereal and almost cathartic and I really wanted to have my own spin on that. Thus, Skies of the Horizon was born. Even listening to it now, three years later, it’s not my most original track, but it’s a fun listen every once in a while.”
